What are you talking about? Pepsi is as old Coke.

Aspartame was not used in the 1980s except in canned drinks after 1984. Everything else, not until the 90s.

You are correct if you are asking if that's how long it would take light to reach those places from the Earth.
Of course there's no known technology that would even begin to allow us to approach those speeds for travel.

I would suggest looking around to see if you can find a used Carnival King. Or given what you said, biting the bullet and purchasing one new.
Keep in mind the amount of power you have available in your kitchen.

Incorrect. They launched one, it orbited the Earth and returned successfully. In 1988. The program ended because the Soviet Union fell.

The program ended when the Soviet Union fell. There was no money.

Absolutely not. It was not a knockoff. There were significant differences in the design & Energia was a completely new launch platform.

You possibly missed the part about "despite their own leader". If Hitler had quickly defeated the USSR and gained control of all the resources of that vast country, it would be a much different world today. Soviets, like this lady, is why it didn't happen.

What a great photo. This woman fought NAZIS and won. The Soviet people sacrificed hugely to defeat Hitler despite their own leader.

One a year? A good chef knife subject to daily use needs to be sharpened much more frequently than that.

I use a Chefpro. It does a great job. Also recommended by America's Test Kitchen.
It's simply not worth your time to sharpen a $30 knife with manual stones.

Get a Victorinox Fibrox Pro 8-Inch Chef’s Knife and a good sharpener. It's inexpensive and long long lasting and doesn't mind being put in a dishwasher. You can buy several for the price of some other knifes.
Don't spend huge sums on a knife that you'll still end up having to sharpen to be good.

Your title is incorrect. He postulated on the possibility in 1949. It says so in the very article you linked.
It would have been impossible for a virus to operate on a computer then. Programs had to be hard wired into those early computers.

Why would they fund, build and maintain a communication system which would allow real time communication with the dark side of the moon? At this point?
Doing such a thing would take a good deal of funding from something else.

I don't think anything Dyson is BIFL. Likewise with cordless. Expect 5-7 years with current technology, you might get lucky with longer, but that is generally the design.
BIFL would be corded and something like a Miele.

The correct answer to this is to use rodent proof conduit outside and pull the individual wires through it.
