Most of the things you mention are hardware limitations and not iOS16 limitations. A software update can’t include a new screen and more RAM.

There are also BT adapters that output to a 3,5mm jack, often gives better audio compared to using a radio signal (that can also be picked up by other cars in a traffic jam)
