And I said gable vent too. A gable vent requires a supply whether it is an open door, box vent, soffit vent, ridge vent, or gable vent on the other end. Have I covered everything?

Box vents are on the surface of the roof.

If you keep the door closed, the vent fan won't move much air unless you cut some soffit vents or box vents down low. With the soffit vents you don't have to deal with shingles.

My WAG is that the bottom 5-6' is solid brick. The box on top and above the ceiling has probably a 8" flue. Start jn the attic and work your way down. Drape with plastic first to control dust. A 12 year old neighbor boy would be real handy about now.

I just skimmed so forgive me if I'm being repetitive. Coolseal is a brand name for a mastic that I have used to stop leaks in mobile homes. Obviously it's designed for metal and I put it on with a paint roller. It would be worth consideration.

Put one end of the garden hose in the container and get it down to the bottom of the water.snake the other end out a door or window. Lower the outside end till it would be lower than the other end that's in the tank. Then lift up the outside end and suck till the water is almost to you and then drop your end back down to the lower level. I'm sure there's a Google.

What about a siphon? A garden hose and a suck start is all you need.

I hired a guy by the hour to do my drywall finishing and then I hung out and "helped" him. I learned that I had used my mud while it was too thick, I could add a little dish soap to the mud and it goes on smoother, and the neatest thing I saw was on the last round of mudding and it's just spots, add a little chalk line dust to make it a little more noticeable for final sanding.

Don't judge me but I used a butane lighter to heat and unscrew one. Yes it was probably paraphernalia but the tenant left it where I could see it and it worked. YMMV

It could be condensation from a temperature differential. As long as the fill valve doesn't actuate, it's not costing you any money. Unless it bothers you that the inside of your toilet bowl is wet. Then you should see someone about your OCD.

If it flushes and you don't change anything, does the fill valve actuate again? As in overnight, does the tank refill?

Reply to Help with Shower - no hot water by rayzer12
If there is no difference between the new and old cartridges then it seems like there is some kind of obstruction in the valve body. Since the problem is with hot water the obstruction is on the left side. I'd get a bright lite and look into the openings. I have probed with a very small Phillips screwdriver to find something. Another option would be a straightened paper clip with a 1/8" 90° bend at the end to make a hook. My last ditch would be to leave the valve disassembled and supply hot water at normal pressure. Might be a bit messy but better than replacing the whole thing. I really hope you have good luck and solve your problem.

I'm not familiar with that type of equipment but is that valve body what you changed? Try reinstalling and see what results you get. If the old one works better you'd know what direction to start. I was hoping for a single handle Delta.

We need a picture with the handle removed. The cartridge can be a ball or a cylinder. It's usually plastic with at least four holes and there should be a handle stem attached.

It's going to crack if you dig it or trench it, whether you backfill it with sand, gravel, or atomic space dust. If cracks will bother you keep the water on top.
