I don't know, Dukat was messy. Felt like they couldn't quite decide if they were redeeming him, then there's all the Pah-wraith stuff that doesn't quite work.

But is there any reason to believe recent shifts will lead to higher average quality? Looking at, say, HBO and Amazon's recent output, I'm skeptical.

Other than Netflix I think most of the other services are basically a pre-existing content library that started a streaming service, which makes more sense.

I'm not sure they did. I mean, look how hard Nana Visitor had to fight against the idea of a Kira/Dukat romance.
