Where do you draw the line as "counting", or not?

I'm sorry, but why are you showing two failures when there are three - so far - in 2023.
> Three US banks failed within five days, the most prominent was Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), the largest bank to fail since the 2008 crisis. > > Two days after SVB collapsed, state regulators closed New York-based Signature Bank and last week, crypto-focused bank Silvergate announced it would have to wind down its operations. > > And there are warnings of more closures to come.

Reply to comment by PepperoniMozz in Meta’s LLaMa weights leaked on torrent... and the best thing about it is someone put up a PR to replace the google form in the repo with it 😂 by RandomForests92
I'm guessing that someone got hold of the thing that you needed to submit a Google Form for and decided that they could instead distribute it via a torrent. They updated the source code as a community service to show the torrent to the next poor sod who went looking through the source to get rid of the Google Form.
But, I'm not the developer, I'm not sure what actually happened, but it seems plausible.

Given that those are pretty much the only two left, that's not surprising in any way.

I understand your points, but that could be fixed with enforcing the data source requirements.
So far I've not seen any data sources for this post.

If you use that as a metric this sub will die. Everybody is selling something. A visualisation is by nature telling a story. That's its entire purpose. If we start limiting what story is allowed, we might as well close down the sub.

Why not? A good visualisation is a good visualisation, regardless of who produced it for what reason.

Not sure if this is beautiful, the colour range doesn't make much sense, compare the brightness of < 10.000 with ≥ 10.000, they're reversed.

It depends on who's paying.
If it works, it's the idea that the head of marketing came up with over lunch and he'll let everyone know about how insightful and brilliant he is.
If it doesn't work, it's the boat anchor devised by the idiot consultant, hired by the former head of marketing who now is sadly no longer with the company, due to family reasons.
In actuality, likely the intern did it.

The title of your visualisation is "Detailed Language...", not "Primary Language...".

I'm pretty sure that none of the first nations people in Australia would characterise their language as Indo-European.
Depending on how you count, there are between 250 and 363 different languages like that in Australia.
