The top edges of my airpod case, where they rest when seated in the case, often disgust me. I should definitely clean them more often.

He lived such a wildly different life from the one that I've lived or would ever choose to live, that I haven't ever really been able to enjoy his writing, unfortunately.

I'd be more surprised if it didn't disrupt them. Ever try to enjoy an evening at a restaurant with some friends while someone's kid is watching youtube at full volume on an iPad at the table next to yours?

I'd like to think I'd do that kind of thing if I had that kind of money...but I'm kind of doubting it. That takes a truly good person, especially to do so anonymously.

I felt this way about Secret History. Probably not because of the book itself, in retrospect, but because of the time in my life when I read it. I strung it out over maybe half a year and I felt like when it was ending it really was closing the book on that stage of my life.

It's always a little weird to me when I kind of can't tell the difference between hand drawn art and a photograph.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's not literature but it's a good story, I thought.

I think this situation always comes down to the fact that different people read for different reasons and have different opinions about things they read. I enjoyed the book. Sometimes when I look at best seller lists or (even more often) top tv shows I think, "What are people even doing?" They're just enjoying stuff that I don't.
