Reply to comment by AlienTD5 in If I had two cups of water, one normal size and one as big as a swimming pool and stirred them both with proportionally sized spoons, would the larger pool of water keep spiraling longer than the smaller? by r3volc
Because that determines how much energy the water has (volume is equivalent of mass). That energy has to be lost to friction, which doesn't increase as a cube.

Exactly. If you can get up to speed to match the velocity and trajectory of the comet to facilitate a landing, there's no need to land on it. Just switch off your engines and you'll follow the same path anyway. You don't "hitch a ride" on something that isn't powered.

Half the rivers in this country translate as river river. Folk used to be just as unimaginative as they are today.

I had a dodgy belly one time, didn't feel like I needed to poop right at that moment, certainly wasn't holding it in or anything - but I casually coughed and sharted my pants there and then.

Nah, you're good - understand your reasoning.
Just looked odd having no 'home' players in the squad. And it's unlikely anyone good enough to play for the national team would still be playing in the Cymru Prem, lol!

I've not knowingly had Palestinian or Syrian oil, I'm sure they're lovely, but I've always thought Greek is the best

I've always preferred Greek oil to Spanish or Italian - it seems fresher, greener, less oily - if that isn't an odd thing to say about an oil.
But I'm not a "professional taster", just a guy who glugs it down by the gallon in salad season.

Also tangentially related, an octopus brain is toroidal (donut shaped) and its guy passes right through the hole in the middle of it.
