Tyler Automotive on North Ave. is a good option. I have been repairing my cars for years. Now that I can no longer get under a car then back up reliably i have been taking my cars to them. Their diagnosis and fees for the work were exactly what I expected.

Reply to Haven’t been back in 30+ years; looking for a few nostalgic hits. Alternate title: “they closed sixth street marketplace?!?” by Johoku
The 6th street marketplace was dead on arrival. People would go just to go to Benetton then not at all. I worked at a place in the food court when they opened. I had to quit because the good weed I used to counter ennui cost more than my $4 hour lifestyle could handle.

Lane splitting is illegal in Virginia. Funny how wrong the law is. It is much safer to remain between cars.

Reply to ‘Get the heck out of our community’: Local leaders hold emergency press conference after Richmond triple shooting by ThatChildNextDoor
I am all for shutting this fucking place down or at the least restricting them to daylight hours. If you provide a "safe" loitering space you get this. 2 ridiculous shootings and a murder around the corner in the last 6 months were enough.

True. It was Richmond at it’s best and worst at the same time. Live music almost every night, cheap drinks, cheap food- just a great time. I spent most nights from 1985-1992 working/hanging out in one place or another. So much fun

So many of the places on your list were most active in the 80s. So much fun.
