Task, find ww2 footage of historical significance.
Failed: not ww2 footage.
Success: puppies are always significant.
You know what, I would still call that a good day at work.

I mean, couldn't this 3d tech be applied to VR headsets so you basically could have something similar to ready player one, a 'ski mask' which was simply screen and the tech itself in the screen made sure the right image went to the right eye?

That is a good question, though there really isn't going to be a 'switch' as in one moment, it needs to gather steam and built up a production line, which they might as well start as soon as possible.

I'm sure there's a few atoms of clearance, that they can shave off and call it better.
We are hitting diminished returns on improvements on TV's in my book, 8k makes little sense because you can't really sit close enough to perceive the full effect and still see all the screen, and you can get 120hz 4k with a great image, we've reached the "it is 'better', 'faster' 'brighter'" plateau, which a lot of phones have been at, trying to justify you upgrading.

Neither hardware nor software is why Apple dominates.
It is their marketting and how they market their eco system towards "the average consumer", and they do that insanely well and are more like a fashion brand then anything else.
Not saying their hardware or software is bad, but it just isn't why they have the market share they do.
