Nothing really. It just sort of stands out compared to a lot of stuff today. It also stands out because there were barely any secondary non-white characters. Like I mean, there were a few, but idk statistically speaking it does seem weird that there so few in one of the most multicultural cities in the world. All I can remember are two girlfriends of Ross. One in the early seasons and one in the later seasons.

It’s a few people pointing out that it had an all-white cast and some casual sexism and maybe homophobia I believe. These are all true. It’s a product of it’s time. Most of these people don’t make a huge deal out of it. But it’s good to acknowledge what was done wrong in the past, in order to avoid it in the future. Compared to other stuff, like say American Pie, this isn’t offensive at all. And no you don’t really have to be that careful with comedy now, people are just becoming increasingly aware that comedy at the expense of groups of people is bullying and it’s not okay. There’s a difference between making fun of something and making something funny. It’s not always okay to do the first one. It’s why we tell kids not to make fun of other kids after all. I honestly wish more writers or directors acknowledged how certain things have aged badly in older stuff. It shows personal growth.

I don’t think this is much of a problem in Arrow. Definitely more of a Flash thing I think. Maybe not the exact same thing but terrible communication is definitely in The Flash a lot more than it is in Arrow.

How many people buy Blu-Rays anyway though? I doubt it’ll make that much of a difference. Besides, more successful shows have gotten Blu-Ray releases.

WBD is also another merger. Mergers do end up with weird shit in the start. It’s an exception. And popular shows don’t get cancelled because they make money. No company wants to throw money into something and then scrap it. What is happening right now will stop and won’t become the norm. It’s not a profitable tactic, it’s just more profitable now in the long run.

Showtime had a merger. While they may have been common for the last year or so, they are also a very specific situation. Mergers don’t happen all the time.

It’s the exception. TNT wanted out of scripted programming so they decided to not air it.

While I liked From as a show and I didn’t hate the intro, I usually skipped it because it felt too long and it looked really generic. Nice song though.

Weren’t his tweets some stupid frat boy shit though from almost 10 years ago? Like they weren’t exactly great things to say, but I feel like it was overkill to fire him over that. Although I might be misremembering. From what I remember it was sth along the lines of “BOOBS BOOBS BOOBS I LIKE BOOBS”
Edit: Well they were signing worse than I thought, but from what I’ve seen, this looks like your average idiot who like American Psycho a lil too much.

Reply to Breaking Bad or The Sopranos, and why? by RichAf26
I don't understand why one has to be better than the other. They're both equally great. They're also very different from each other, while also being very similar. Their basic stories aren't that different but the approach to storytelling is. The Sopranos is a pure in depth character study of the main character and everyone around him. Breaking Bad seems to be more focused on a few characters, but it also wants to tell an overarching story. In The Sopranos it's like you're watching Tony go through every day life problems, but the mobster version. In Breaking Bad there's this sense of buildup and the expectation of a climax at some point. There's this sende of greatness whereas in The Sopranos the show doesn't seem to care about it that much. While they're similar, I wouldn't watch them interchangeably.

The spin offs will bring in viewers. A large majority of the people that made it to the end will watch at least some of the spin offs. Unlike other spin offs, these will be featuring characters from the main show, and they won't be random stories set in TWD world like FTWD or World Beyond.

I really hope that this gets an ending somehow. Although, judging by the titles, I'd say they're prepared to give the show an ending if they don't survive past season 4. A similar thing seems to be happening with Titans.

Reply to How are you liking Season 3 of The Mandalorian so far? by esran7
I have not seen season 3 yet and while I enjoyed the first 2 seasons I never saw the hype. It wasn’t until I watched Andor that I got what I wanted from a Star Wars show. I feel like the show is the same as it’s always been, but people are now liking it less because they saw the potential that a Star Wars show has after watching Andor. Andor was probably the first show on Disney+ that actually felt serialised. I mean plenty of them were but they didn’t really feel like shows, but stretched out movies.
