Not to be rude, but what's the point? While the act was horrible, that police department doesn't have any jurisdiction here, nor do we have any influence over that police department, and the cops have all already been charged with murder. What could the demonstration actually do?

EDIT: Nice. Downvote without actually answering the question.

WRTA sucks. It's free now; great. You can not pay for the bus that doesn't come.

But really, why is there a driver shortage? Drivers get good pay.

There are people asking for money all over the city. Can these people not be trained to drive buses and, when that's been done, they get a decent middle-class lifestyle?

Like I said, your comment was dumb - my opinion - and I'm not sure it crossed any actual lines.

I hope the business thrives. There are many gay bars in America, but only a few dozen lesbian bars, and it would be a nice accomplishment for Worcester to be one of the very few cities that actually has such a bar.

You might not know this, but bars label themselves all the time. Have you heard of "Irish bars"? Or "jazz bars"? Or "piano bars"?

Well, you wrote

>It’s not “a good bar”. It’s not a “friendly bar”, it’s not a “neighborhood bar”. It’s a “lesbian bar”. Identity politics at its worst. In the restaurant business you want to be an inviting welcoming place, this is the antithesis of that. I’m honestly surprised they found financing.

I don't know if it technically crossed a line, but it's pretty dumb. Also, I'm a straight guy and I've been to lesbian bars, with lesbian friends who've invited me. No one excluded me for being a guy, and I wasn't victimized by identity politics.

Verizon offers a $50 monthly 5G service (with the autopay discount) that is really good. You order the service and they ship you a little cube that you plug in and that gives you really good Wi-Fi. It's not available everywhere in the city, but it's definitely the better and cheaper option where it is. It's different from FIOS.

I've resided in a bunch of different places, and that's generally true, except for New York. I've never really heard a New Yorker trash talk the city. Chicago, yes; LA, yes; but NYC, no.

Worcester is weird, though, in that many people seem actively offended if you say it's a nice place.

Eastcide! I haven't thought about them in years. Actually, decades!

Ugh, I wish I could go to a show like those again. I had a friend who used to be in one of those bands, a few friends but one really close friend, and he his band had a band room in one of those old warehouses on Cambridge Street. Awesome place to hang out, too.
