Open to suggestions. I went to the hardware store (Ace) on 40 over the weekend and it was horrible. How is the selection at Kendall's in Clarksville? Any go to place I am not aware of? Thanks.

Paynes has a much bigger and better selection than the place off 108. Their prices are significantly better as well. The place off 108 is insane with their pricing.
Franks greenhouse in Elkridge has beautiful Christmas trees in varying sizes. We got our tree from them.
We've been getting our tree at Franks since we moved to the area in 2015. Great selection, fair prices, they'll put it on the top of the car for you, and you can buy cider, wreaths, and other holiday stuff while you're there.
Thank you, everyone, for the responses. Looks like I need to heard to Elkridge and check out either Frank's or Payne's. No clue either existed- Redditors come through again!
Yep would second Frank's. Got my tree there this weekend and they had a great variety
Payne Christmas Trees & Holiday Market in Elkridge. Even if you get your tree somewhere else, it's worth a visit!
We went tonight for the first time. Great recommendation!! Good selection, they had a fire going and the kids could make s'mores, Santa was there, the store was cute. Service was great!!
I will also recommend Payne’s! Great service, friendly staff, lots of ornaments and decorations for sale as well. They will put the tree on your car and if the tree is already in a stand (the smaller ones were), they’ll trim the bottom of the tree and put it back in the stand for you.
Payne’s for us … $89 for a medium size tree but it’s super healthy I don’t think I’ve seen a needle fall yet
I went to tridelphia lake view farm. What an amazing experience. It was my first time cutting down the tree myself. I think they also sell pre cut ones. The farm also has fresh food, wreaths and other decor. I went before thanksgiving so Im not sure what the status of tree availability is now.
As already mentioned, Frank’s is a good choice.
I don’t think Kendall’s has trees, but there are trees next to the Giant across the street from Kendall’s. More expensive, but may be more convenient.
Triadelphia runs out of cut-your-own trees in basically the first weekend.
We go to the place the sets up in the VCA parking lot on 108, just before the East Cedar Lane Park entrance. We paid $80 this year for a 6 or 7 foot tree that's in great shape. We've gone there for 5 years, they're always super nice. It's maybe not the most "scenic" place to buy being that it's right next to a pretty busy road and part of it is in the parking lot, but I think they set it up well enough and have music playing. We've always been happy there.
This is where we always got trees before our era of the artificial tree. Never had a problem or a bad tree from this vendor, and we probably went there 10+ years.
We got ours from Franks this year. Before moving to Columbia we would always go to a farm and cut it, but we have been underwhelmed by the trees at the local farms - too many people cutting too few trees I think.
Again, thanks for all the awesome suggestions, no clue there were that many options.
The tree lot on old frederick and 32 is great.
Tollhouse Christmas Tree Market is in Silver Spring!

You have to head out to the farms to get one.
yelp.com/biz/pine-valley-farms-sykesville - I've had luck there, though it is absolutely chaos with the number of people. If you can go midweek somehow, it would probably be easier. You can also buy pre-cut ones at their shop that were really high quality (lasted).
Frank's, which has been mentioned, but also a place further east on 175 at 2846 Jessup Rd. I used to go before it had a name (or I hadn't noticed), but looks like it's called Duvall's Marketplace.
I think there's some parking lot pop-ups near the Long Gate Shopping Center, NE corner of 29 & 103. I think 1 is set up in the YMCA parking lot and another at the Armory, next to the Fire Station.
TLV tree farm in Dayton (Triadelphia Mill rd)
Yeah Payne's is fine if you want the hustle and bustle and all the extra stuff they sell there
But if you all you want is a tree I recommend cut your own at Feezer's farm.
Not far at all, really low key, get to cut it yourself, and they will shake it and put it on your care for you.
You walk a minute or two from where you park to the trees. Very simple and restful ( other than hearing the two gun ranges nearby haha)

We have had luck at Payne's Christmas market in Elkridge, I also just saw a selection off of 108 near Clark's Farm but I haven't gone in to check it out yet.
