I play squash, do a Zumba class with my lady and run at least 10k every week. Do I still need these kegel exercises?

I think you're missing the point as nowhere does it state that this is an activity for only those that are out of shape or for people who don't exercise.

I saw a comment from someone who was told by a doctor that over-exercising that area could give them a uti.

If you do anything excessively it can lead to issues. I once pushed myself way too hard doing dumbbell presses and I tore my rotator cuff. I was in pain for weeks until it healed. However the probability of injuring yourself by doing this exercise 3 times a day (10 reps each for a total of 30 per day) is minuscule as this exercise is uniformly endorsed across the board as a health benefit.
