Frankie Valli singing “Dawn”

Jay Black singing “Cara Mia”
Frankie Valli singing “Dawn”
Barry Gibbs “Saturday Night Fever”
And he's got YouTube channel Justin Hawkins Rides Again.
Agaiiiiiiin.
And it’s great!
Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley
100% agree on Thom Yorke.
The song Nude might be my favorite for his falsetto
Recently found out that Thom Yorke was inspired by Jeff Buckley after seeing him in concert to rework Fake Plastic Trees
Prince - "Kiss", "Adore", "Insatiable" and countless others.
Scandalous is a great one too.
When 2 R in Love
Brian Wilson - Surf's Up, or Carline No, or God Only Knows
Carl as well
Carl sings lead in Caroline, No.
He doesn't though.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caroline,_No#Personnel
Carl does sing lead on God Only Knows, but Brian does the falsetto part.
Turns out I'm a dumb dumb who confused the two songs. I concede.
Anyone with the last name of Gibb.
Yes!
"Stayin' Alive" is iconic disco music.
They nailed folk ballads too. How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, To Love Somebody, I Started A Joke, Words.
This was my first thought. There are many other great examples in this thread, but I think the Gibb brothers truly nailed falsetto in their harmonies. I am not even a big fan of the Bee Gees, but can recognize their skills none the less.
Matt Bellamy
King Diamond
a sarco phagus....of a child!
Abigail has been in here for years and years....
Beat me too it.
Best me to it too.
Philip Bailey and Maurice White of Earth Wind and Fire
Ian Gillan of Deep Purple
David Byron of Uriah Heep
Thom Yorke.
jeff buckley - lover, you should've come over
There is only one answer. Frankie Valli. The King of falsetto. Still doing it at 88.
Jonsi from Sigur Rós.
Can't believe more people haven't said this.
Definitely!
Yes this for sure
All of you are severely misspelling "Curtis Mayfield."
"Got To Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye is my favorite. The Bee Gees had remarkable control of their falsettos.
Roy Orbison
No Lou Christie love? Lightning Strikes is amazing
My jam! Boppy-Ah-Oooh!
Barry Gibb
If not the best than almost certainly the most iconic
Aaron Neville is famous for his falsetto.
Curtis Mayfield as well.
A particularly fine example:
Eddie Holman - Hey There, Lonely Girl (1970)
Smokey Robinson
I’m like where’s Smokey?? lol
Hocus Pocus by Focus. Or Mike Patton
Gene Ween - Freedom of ‘76 and a few other Ween tracks
John Frusciante does a fantastic falsetto throughout his solo career and every album he did with RHCP. There’s so many to name so I just refer you to ‘Fallout’
Jimmy Somerville of bronski beat and the communards.
Michael Crawford (the original Phantom of the Opera).
Richard Manuel of The Band.
George Michael - Soul Free
Del Shannon on "Runaway" is pretty iconic.
Maxwell, Eddie Kendricks
So far no mention of Brooks & Dunn “My Maria” 🤔
The original, BW Stevenson, did a pretty good job with that one, too.
Thom Yorke for sure
Does Dave Hunt from Anaal Nathrahk count on the choruses?
Tiny Tim - Tiptoe through the tulips
Beck - Debra
Childish Gambino - Redbone
Clyde McPhatter
Mike Patton- Faith No More. But I’m not gonna Google it, what is falsetto?
Are you willing to Google Barry White? Cuz it’d be the opposite 🙆
Barry had that low sound, so falsetto is high?
Yes. Very high. Mike Patton has a beautiful voice but I can't recall him singing THAT high. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE Mike Patton. A lot
I gotcha, I was off because I didn’t know what falsetto meant when I replied to the question. I agree, I don’t recall him hitting that high either.

Sebastián Bach
G. C. Cameron who sang for the spinners. Listen to it's a shame. He could do those Mariah Carey screams on key. So amazing.

Smokey Robinson.
Lou Christy.
That guy from Stylistics

Barry Gibb on the single "Too Much Heaven" .....his falsetto is so beautiful and so effortless ...and don't forget his falsetto on "Tragedy"
Jon Anderson of Yes
Lou Christie singing Lightning Strikes, Rhapsody in the Rain, and so many others.
Michael Jackson - Don’t Stop Til’ You Get Enough, Your Ways, Give It Up, In the Closet, etc.
Einar Solberg (Leprous)
Matthew Bellamy. Usher. Elton John used to be but doesn’t do it anymore.
Go back and listen to old Rolling Stones, pre-1968. Keith Richards had a pretty good falsetto voice in many of his back-up vocal lines.
Jan 6 choir hehe
Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant has simply immaculate falsetto, so good!
I wouldn’t say best but my favorite is City and Colour’s older stuff
Male falsetto is totally underrated. One of my favorites is Craig Warden of Shudder To Think.
Chris Isaak?
Ian Kenny from Karnivool
Einar Solberg from Leprous
Daniel Tompkins from Tesseract
Cedric Bixler-Zavala from The Mars Volta
Elton John before 1985
Kevin Parker
Matt Bellamy from Muse. Micro Cuts is a great example.
Showbiz has his highest note!
Tiny Tim.
Would Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard be falsetto?
Ha Hynwoo from Guckkasten
Haven't seen them mentioned yet: I enjoy the band 'leprous'. Their singer has an outstanding voice and often sings in falsetto.
The Ink Spot's Bill Kenny.
Russell Mael of Sparks.

Jospeh Solomon
Robin thicke was pretty sick
Maybe not technically the best but The Boss has my favourite falsetto.
Roy Orbison.
Vitas - Russian/Ukrainian Singer. Known for his song Opera #2. His falsetto is amazing.
Conor Mason of Nothing but Thieves
The OP doesn’t make clear whether every male singer to use a pure head voice should be in scope. Obviously there are tons of metal singers with crazy access to their upper register, but that’s not the same technique as the Al Green approach, so it’s not clear if your Halfords, Tates and such should get a mention.
Gid Tanner of the Skillet lickers
Billy Campion of The Bogmen
Darren Hayes
Barry fucking Gibb
Tamino singing "Habibi", the falsetto in the end is just beautiful: here he is playing live
Brian D'Addario is one of the greats IMO.
Robin Gibb’s vocals on the chorus of Alone, especially in this live performance.
Adam Levine. You may not like him but he has always had his falsetto on lock
Tiny Tim 😂
Russell Mael from Sparks
Freddy Mercury
Russell Tompkins Jr. -The Stylistics
Pookie Hudson-The Spaniels
Jeff buckley-Mojo Pin
Vitas
Hands down King Diamond
Freddie Mercury
Farinelli

Roger Taylor actually had the highest voice in Queen, he hit some insane notes on their early albums.
Trick question; falsetto is always a very bad thing.
oh my, there is nothing worse than freaking falsetto singers

Justin Hawkins (of The Darkness) deserves at least a nod.
