All done with kids and ready to get snipped. Anyone had a great and or horrible experience with a particular provider in RI?

I got it done, I dunno, 5-6 years ago at Urology Associates Inc behind Newport Hospital through South County Health. It went very smoothly. Whole thing took about 25 minutes. Doc did a good job of chatting with me throughout the procedure to keep me occupied. No pain except for the first anesthetic needle they stuck in my testicle - that was excruciating for about literally one second and then the local kicked in. Barely felt the second needle and didn't feel the third. They repeat for the other testicle after they are done with the first.
So about two full seconds of awful pain and otherwise a walk in the park.
I wonder how old you’d have to be for them to let you do this in this state because I want to get this done at some point but I’m probably way younger than the average guy looking to get this done.
Snip snap, snip snap, they are reversible in most cases. Good luck!
My cousin can do it in his garage for a six pack.
First one didn't take, had to be done a second time. First time was local, second was general anesthesia. Trust me, take the general.
My husband got his done at South County hospital in Wakefield last November. The doctor was great and he healed up very nicely!
Make sure you wait long enough to test it out. My old boss ended up with twins.
Brown Urology in Warwick
Got it done at Brown Urology in East Providence. Dr Harisaran was amazing. He talked me through the whole process beforehand, let me know risks, what to expect, etc. His bedside manner is great and we were chatting and joking throughout the entire process.
When I got mine done they stressed that I still had a "loaded gun" so to speak and that I'd need to, um, fire off the remaining rounds before I could be certified as sterile. They had me drop off a sample four weeks after the procedure to confirm sterility.
But do they look like him?
I came here to make the same joke
What kind of weak ass shit is this? Just pull out and block her like a real man 😤
Edit: if she loves you, she’ll understand
Lol yes they do.
You've got about a 55% chance of impregnation after a reversal, at best. If a 45% chance of sterilization is acceptable to you then go ahead.
Brown urology
2nd brown urology. Dr Sigman was great
I was 25 when I got it done, they tried to talk me out of it until I told them I was married.
Had it done over 40 years ago. The first surgeon I went to refused because it violated his fucking religion! I know that this does not answer your question, but I’ll bet this is still an issue today.
Did they ask you for a marriage certificate? I’m 21 and not married but I could definitely lie about it lmao
Nope. Edit, I went to Brown urology, would recommend.
Good to know. Appreciate the info!

Also had my procedure with Dr Harisaran - a few weeks ago. We laughed and joked the whole time.
Another vote for Dr Harisaran at Brown in EP. Just had mine done a few weeks ago. In and out in about 90 minutes. Dr Harisaran is really nice & funny.
The "worst" part was when they give you the first needle to numb you. But it wasn't any worse than a tattoo needle
Walking less bowlegged after about 10 days. The incision area is almost totally healed.
Just got it done in Westerly with Dr Leddy 2 months ago. My boys are feeling great now 🤙🏽
Dr. Harisaran or Dr. Licht. I used to work with both of them, delightful people that are also great at what they do
Second this, he was the best.
What was the cost?
I called Urethra Franklin
And 3rd!
I recently had it done at the same location right near Newport Hospital as @RhodySeth; South County Urology. Dr. Heffernan was excellent. Great experience (for what it is, of course) and no complications. Highly recommend.
Lmao damn right… on a real note.. y’all really need the /s huh?
What ever you do, stay far away from Westerly hospital. It is one of the worst hospitals in the state .
I read this as "I got a vasectomy behind Newport Hospital".
4th for Sigman
Most insurance will cover vasectomy for free, since it's much, much cheaper than infant care.
From some guy named "Chuckles." I paid him with a bottle of Hennessey and a Stop n Shop gift card. Hurt like hell but I definitely can't have kids anymore!
Your body your choice
5th for Sigman - wow, he's touched a lot of our balls in here.
You certainly didn’t come here to make kids!

Why did the doctor need to heal up nicely? That must have been a pretty rough surgery.
Just hold ‘em near a running microwave for a few hours.
Now that’s my kinda joke!

I had it done at Brown Urology. Told him I wanted to be knocked out. When I got up had my tighty whiteys, frozen peas and was on the couch for 3 days. Felt like a mango in pants but no real pain. Do not lift anything. It feels like you can until you do. After a week or so make sure you empty the pipes maybe 20x and then take a test.
My husband went there too. Great experience.
I had mine done by Dr Olsen at ATMED in Johnston. He was highly recommended by my PCP. I have also since sent three friends to him and none of us have had any issues or errant babies since.
Husband got his done there, too.
Funny how that works….
