Nicks on Broadway or Troop PVD are always good

Bayberry Beer Hall (and Garden, I imagine although never been) has an awesome brunch. Can't go wrong with Nicks either as suggested.

Rogue Island has the best specials, Nicks quality and service is always great, Troop is awesome and such a unique vibe, bayberry food is great but I've never been for brunch, every time I've tried to go it's packed, Julians is popular but IMO not worth the crazy waits when so many other great places are around.

Damn, this post has been up for a while and no one mentioned Julian's yet? We'll, let me be the first then...

If you can, skip the hustle and bustle and hit up Mesa Cafe on Rolfe Square in Cranston.

Depending on what your looking for, Murphys Pub is a sleeper.

I really expected Julian's to be the top comment. There's usually a wait but you can get drinks from the bar and drink them out front while you wait! I recommend the bloody Marys.

Be careful though, my party of 4 ran up a ridiculous tab before we even got to our table.

Julian’s! Their hash is awesome, they have vegan options if that’s how you roll. Also their rolls are fantastic. And you can drink outside as you wait 30min for a table!

I agree, the lobster and eggs is pretty spectacular. But I also enjoy the onion, tomato, and goat cheese omelette. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Get reservations, it’s a popular spot.

Then you’ll love how batshit crazy the owner is. Tldr search the sub for the history and read the google reviews for funsies. I got sucked in for a couple days over her last meltdown on IG.

The food is good and the space is neat but IMO it's a once a year type of place for me. I think you can get just as good brunch food at other places and the wait is always really long (I know, noone goes there it's too busy joke, har) and other places with awesome brunches also have cool vibes.

She shut down her restaurant because a kid said the food smelled and went on an IG rant. She changes hours/table availability based on her feelings. Employees have been vocal about her unreliability and mood swings. Some of the food sucks. She insults diners.

OP doesn’t need a stress headache when dining.

No longer open for business on federal hill. I think they might still have a spot in Kennedy plaza. Took so many dates to the places on and near Luongo Square. They wait staff started looking at me funny when I brought in different women

Legs and eggs still a thing? I heard about this from a friend.

Troop is great food and decor, but every time I go the music is so loud. And I am already pretty deaf!

I like Nick’s On Broadway. Also, if you go a little outside PVD, Howie’s in North Providence is great, and Rhodey Hen in Pawtucket is also great.

I agree with a lot of these comments but i would also like to add Dante's Kitchen. It's not actually in Providence (East Greenwich) but it's very very good.

Then come out and say that. Your original comment just complained about the social media and Google reviews for anyone tend to suck and either be perfect or horrible like yelp so I don’t trust them. Leading with that back story would have been more useful info. Is the situation the same at rebelle?

I’m salty about it bc I said the food was good and the wait staff was nice and you assumed the back story was known and jumped down my throat. We’ve never had bad food and the staff has always been kind and friendly. All of that is still true. Knowing more about her being a hot mess is useful info but I’m not going to lie and say we’ve had a bad experience based on your take on social media. We haven’t.

Status_Silver_5114 t1_iwuuu3l wrote

Without having someone in the biz or spending lots of time on social media how would one know that? Genuine question. Side note / the blue cottage / how does that stay in business? Talk about bad food….. also fwiw all the “artisan” bagels can’t hold a candle to bagel gourmet. Closest thing to a real nyc bagel.
