My response was to the "they should be riding it on dirt" technically there is no dirt for them to ride on either. It's ineherently illegal for anyone to ride an ATV, what's interesting is up north and out west it's mostly white people riding them illegally and trespassing on others or state land and no one makes much of a fuss.

Not justifying the riders actions but FYI There isn't anywhere legal in RI to ride a dirt bike.

I believe wells fargo still has a decent sized IB office in downtown providence. Also there are a bunch of independent wealth management companies especially in the wealthier areas.

Most friends I had when I was younger that made lots of money and had big houses and boats or multiple houses in other areas were business owners of some sort: contractors, owned electrician businesses, large landscaping companies etc. Also people that have big families where one is a lawyer one is a real estate agent one is a property manager and they set up big real estate ownership groups. Of course all the doctors and such. You also used to be able to live a pretty lavish life with a low 6 figure income you would get by being in management at any company on RI or nearby MA, or a chief of police or fire station... not really possible anymore. At that point you're still upper middle class at best.

The only place I would advise against would be oberlin since it's small, and maybe Cav since there's a lot of things on the walls and floors to grab and potentially break. I've taken my son out since he was around 1 (he's a bit over 2 now) to many of those places. Personally, even though I try and say I want my kid to be used to some non-kid spaces, my play is always to err on the side of too early to avoid people that are trying to have their night out without their kids. Another tip is we bought some placemats with double sided tape on them so that he doesn't mess up people's tables, and it has pictures on it you can make a game out of.

Not from PA/MD but I hope I can give some perspective. As far as job, it depends on your industry. If you are in healthcare, tech, finance, engineering etc there's work, but not much general industry. People aren't overly friendly but when you find friends they're usually very loyal in new England. Crime isn't that bad, random crime is very low, especially if you're in your 30s and mind your business. Weather is similar to PA maybe slightly less snow. Our housing is very stretched and expensive right now though.
