There’s ‘orphan’ for a child who has lost their parents. There’s ‘widow’ and ‘widower’ when you lose your spouse.
Is it because it’s not natural for a child to pass away before their parents?
There’s no word for a person who has lost a sibling, uncle, aunt, grandparent, etc
