Seattle instituted a tax on ammo of $.02/round of .22 and under and $.05/round of ammo over .22. The tax drove the last of the gun shops out, Outdoor emporium is the last FFL I know of in Seattle city limits.

People in Seattle don’t own a lot of guns per capita, and those that do (that I know) usually have a favorite range/shop outside of the city they visit on a regular basis. Plus Seattle rent is stupid high, so it’s not really a huge money maker compared to moving to someplace an hour outside the city

If you ain't opposed to a kitchen FFL, Ballard Supply Co is the one to check. I've used him before.

Last I checked Palace Jewelry and Loan is still doing guns.

But like others said, taxes. Politicians said it would decrease gun crime, but all it really did was kill businesses.

Why would you want the city of Seattle to get the tax money?
