Could be a disaster and could be fine. Winter in the mountains is a real deal. Make a backup plan that you’re happy with, in the event the mountain pass is in rough shape. Or, consider the train.
What kind of a car are you driving?
If the pass is clear, no problem but if there is snow or ice🤷🏻♀️.
In the winter I drive a 4Runner with traction tires for the pass,Snoqualmie.
I never drive over Stevens Pass, many, many deaths there. Better to drive SNO and Blewett Pass.
Start looking at the Washdot website or app for current mountain pass conditions. They are usually accurate. Snowed on tne pass yesterday 🤷🏻♀️
We just went in December but we came from the east side. Traffic backs up pretty bad if you’re coming in from the west sometimes. Roads were relatively clear but we drive AWD anyway. You aren’t used to the weather; take the train.
Edit: There is almost no-one using it. Annual Station Ridership (FY 2022): 6,624 . It's also a 4 hour train ride! IMHO Leavenworth has never been worth the effort to go to unless you are skiing or hiking. The town it's self sucks. Again, IMHO, lots of folks love it.

We don’t have a crystal ball that can predict weather a month out… but take the train, I’ve seen too many Floridians at the pass and it is disaster.
Unless you have experience driving in snowy western mountains, don’t drive
