At the South Bay Center, Olive Garden is open till 10pm and Applebee's is open till midnight. Both have chocolate cake on the dessert menu.

Grocery store chocolate cakes (or just packaged slices) are not that bad. Like, the Roche Brothers in DTX has fine bakery goods like that.

Whole foods is the easiest way to get a quality cake (unlike most grocery store cakes) just about anywhere

Edit: but in your case I'd recommend victorias diner or olive garden
