I played Divinity once about 90% of the way through. I've played BG1 and BG2 a dozen times each, including playthroughs of each in 2022.

Divinity is technically better in every way and I have almost no desire to play it next to either BG or Icewind Dale or Planescape.

Yes and no. Divinity didn’t hook me as much as the BG story. Divinity on its own was ok but I just couldn’t care about the world or characters.

BG gave the same feeling I had playing the Witcher where I care about the world, whereas games like divinity felt like fallout 4 to me. Technically a good game but just fell flat story wise.
