Beautiful. Too bad the glare from the sun/ lighthouse isn't pixelated.

Magnificent, like a video game from the 80s

I don't like the non-pixelart glare, but other than that looks great

That lens flare isn't very pixel arty

I was wondering how is it possible that the sun appears so blindingly bright even though it's not actually brighter, and I noticed that the whole scene was darkened to help produce that effect.

Clever.

I love pixel art. I can't put my finger on it. Something about makes me feel nostalgic, familiar, or something.

I used to live in a town that had a levee wall like this and it’s uncanny how much this reminds me of it and countless other little river towns on the Mississippi.

Great work!

This is beautiful. Does anyone have any recommendations for video games that are similar to this pov? Like a pixelated 3D world

Nah. The Secret of Money Island came out in 1990 and had this level of detail. Monkey Island 2 followed in 1991 and was even better. Tomb Raider 1 (1996) was already fully 3D.

Interesting. I dont feel like many other games had that much detail at that point. I guess I could be wrong though.

Not bland at all IMO!

The glare version is all about the glare.

The original allows the eye to travel from left to right, moving from the grubby, unwelcoming wall and letting the birds guide you across the landscape towards a brighter, sunnier tomorrow.

I LOVE IT. Reminds me of home. The light and the sea, and the cold specifically.

Tbh I thought of it as just light reflecting from a window of tall building directly into the camera for a moment. But maybe it's too bright for that, could be a lighthouse

I wish I knew the word for the feeling i get when I see pixel art like this. It's almost nostalgia but it's more like I want to live in that simple magical snippet of a world..

I absolutely love this! The way the glare was done was so good. The way everything darkens when it hits, 🤌🏻.

Is that suposed to be a lighthouse? Or the sun, it's really bright but no beam? IDK it's still amazing.
