Death Valley is between Nevada and Cali. The hot you speak of is only a part of the climates in AZ. Flagstaff is like 2 hours north of and like 5500 feet higher in elevation than Phoenix. It’s beautiful up here.

The biggest snowstorm I've ever driven through was driving back from Sedona via Flagstaff. Hairy drive.

Yes. They exist as far south as Nicaragua. Even Florida has them. Which I am assuming you mean something like conifer trees. Trees that are always green and extremely common in the south like tropics as there is no cold weather.
