Hi Reddit, I'm looking into gifting my SO tickets for a concert and I had a couple questions regarding the stadium and how concerts work in the US since we're not from here. First question is, since I'd be buying general admission tickets, will we have access to the pit? Or only to the zones on the sides? In the website it says that the pit zone is for general admission and unreserved seats, but I'm not sure because I can't click on the pit to buy tickets. So, if we'd have to go to the zones on the edges, can anyone who's been to a concert there tell me if those are relatively good seats or if I'm throwing my money away? Thank you in advance.

The general admission tickets, commonly referred to as “lawn” tickets only give access to the grey lawn area at the back on the map. “Pit” tickets are much more expensive and usually hard to find unless you pay crazy prices from resellers. The pit is also general admission, as there are no seats, but they are very different than lawn tickets.

If you’re traveling from far I would strongly advise against the lawn, especially in the summer months when there are random rainstorms. The view will suck, you can be stuck in the mud/dirt, and they don’t allow umbrellas. Get seats so you have some cover and don’t have to worry about finding a spot.

I would recommend trying to be somewhat centered and not to off to the sides for the best sound. View is very much get what you pay for, it will be a lot of money to be closer to the stage.

I get that, but the ticket price doubles from lawn to covered seats, plus I need some kind of code to even see the price from the intermediate seats. Still something to look into. Thank you!

I used to only buy lawn seats when I was younger, but some years ago they shrunk the lawn area to just the very back, so I don’t think it’s as good of an experience now. Depending on the show you are going to, buying seats might not be too expensive and is probably the best option.

Make sure you plan enough time to get to the concert, traffic can be really bad. I would also recommend “blue lot” parking. You have to pay extra but you will get right out after the show and it’s worth it in my opinion. It’s across the street from the venue.

There is also a Marriott property within walking distance.

Lawn seats are not great. You are quite a ways back, and while to roof supports don't block too much view, you do need to jockey for a good spot to minimize that. Also, if you care about bands that may go on before the sun goes down, the stage is covered and darker than the lawn and outer row of sets so it can be a little harder to see. For rowdier shows, the lawn is where the rowdiness is concentrated, so consider that if that matters to you. If you really, really want to see the show and they are all you can afford they are fine, but sections 1-8 (under the roof) are going to be a much better experience.

I had lawn tickets where I was standing right underneath that overhanging cover which was great because it rained while I was there.

Are you looking at other venues? Might be easier because this is a bit of a bizarre venue in my experience. Good sound and all good sight lines, just only car accessible and a car mess afterward. Also outside (and uncovered for a lot of seats). The lawn is a million miles away.

No GA tickets will be for the side sections only. And PIT tickets would be listed as such. They are general admission with no seats( they are usually sold at a premium price and or part of some kind of " VIP " package as the PIT sections is right in front of the stage.
