proximity to providence is a pretty good thing, especially if you’re an arts/music person or foodie. I actually like going into PVD more than downtown Boston these days. No one can afford to go out anymore + Our venues suck. Even allston is a ghost town a lot of the times. I definitely get why people are moving out in droves especially if they were just here for school.

Central and western mass + the “almost Rhode Island” parts of the state are still relatively cheap and a lot of people I know who went WFH but wanted to stay in-state have actually been able to buy homes. Just gotta accept you need to drive more which is kind of a bummer.

If you’re traveling from far I would strongly advise against the lawn, especially in the summer months when there are random rainstorms. The view will suck, you can be stuck in the mud/dirt, and they don’t allow umbrellas. Get seats so you have some cover and don’t have to worry about finding a spot.

I would recommend trying to be somewhat centered and not to off to the sides for the best sound. View is very much get what you pay for, it will be a lot of money to be closer to the stage.

Medford used to be kind of viable but the western and southern part with more transit access have gotten overpriced. Do you make enough to afford it? Even if you have doctor money it’s still going to be well over a million to get a single family in Newton these days and that will be a stretch if you’re a one income household with kids. If you want under a million for a single family you’re going to have to not be on the MBTA rapid transit lines at all and rely on commuter rail - there’s a shuttle bus from the ruggles station on the providence/stougton line if you don’t want to car commute to get you to longwood or if it’s nice out it’s an easy walk from that station.

Most outer towns in Boston metro are still going to be far more walkable and have better schools than Arkansas by a long shot even if they don’t have the the T (t as in rapid transit subway/trolley lines not the commuter rail)

I have a train tracker for the T and have noticed on many occasions that the blue line has more cars in service than the orange
