I travel to Florida for work, and am pretty much always homesick before the wheels touch down.

Then I actually get sick because that whole state is a bacteria-laden fart bog.

I've flown round-trip same-day on many occasions, just to avoid spending the night. I straight-up do not like it there.

As a Floridian born and raised and a recently transplanted masshole, I 100% understand this. Could not get away from Florida fast enough, it is not the place it was 20-25 years ago when I was a kid.

I reached the point during our trip to FL the week before last that I don't want to go back. EVER. Even to visit. I had fun while at the parks, but not enough.

I have to start thinking about how I can make a living for myself in mass now…

Mass is a good place to be if you know how to code or work in healthcare.

You're 17 so the world is your oyster.

Construction jobs are pretty readily available right now, could at least get you going until you figure it out.

Ah gotcha. I understand. I most likely will be moving to ny first for work then go to mass for college after a year or 2 if that makes more sense. We will see lol

Elevator Union too. The guys are getting old and the young ones coming in have 5 weeks vacation and great pay.

I hear we have a shortage of HVAC techs. They are getting older, retiring, and there isn't a big group of young techs coming up. If that interests you.

I work at Stanley Black and Decker (Lenox Tools) and we have a bunch of openings. It looks like there's a lot on indeed for this area as well.

This is now my new favorite way to insult a location.
