Absolutely. Reddit in general is a terrible representation of reality, it is much more male, young, and white than the nation or the world is as a whole.

/r/Boston specifically is also a very negative and cynical place. Not that there aren’t any negative or cynical people in MA IRL, but /r/Boston is way more negative than the people I meet in real life.

Yes. There aren't many cities like that in Massachusetts.

Edit: I just noticed you said r/Boston. I don't follow that sub so I have no idea, but I assume it's an even worse representation than the actual city of Boston.

Also let's be real this sub isn't a great representation of the state either. Probably closer than r/boston but not ideal.

I would argue that this sub is probably both more liberal and more cynical than the state populace as a whole (which oddly enough probably makes me more comfortable here lol) IT's also very anti-NIMBY which obviously the state itself isn't because NIMBY's wouldn't be as successful if they were.
