I’m not a “fan theory” guy but I think it fits this movie well enough to add another nice layer.

It’s a cool theory that would have worked better if they had made Mason former SBS rather than SAS considering that Bond was always a Commander in the navy rather than a Lieutenant Colonel in the army. But that is a minor quibble.
