Drove to Mass just today to pickup. 11:30 am on a Wednesday (are you employed Mr Lebowski?) the line was like 15 people deep and they are desperate trying to just keep the line moving. Interesting development theystopped taking debit cards from credit unions.

Just keep letting people go across the border and let MA get the tax money. Idiots.

If it passes the governor and senate, I'll eat my shoe. Plus, it can't even *happen* until federal legalization, since they wanna own it.

Too little too late.

Honestly, NH should just sell it in the liquor stores and tell the DEA to fuck off if they try to do anything. I'm assuming marijuana prohibition is justified by "The Interstate Commerce Clause™" specifically the Wickard v Filburn ruling which is shit by any sane understanding of English, so it should be forced back into the courts.

I work in Mass, so it's easy to just hit a nearby store on the way back. If I had to pick between the current situation and one where marijuana is legal in NH but NH is basically Mass, I choose the current situation - that is to say marijuana being illegal in NH is dumb, but not a showstopper. Fortunately, I think NH can make marijuana fully legal without becoming northern Mass.

It depends.

The prime sponsor of last year's MJ bill that passed the House and got killed in the Senate is now in the Senate. A lot of those old senators are gone. There is still that ancient dude from Manchester in there who came out firmly against it last year. Lou Dala..something. Also Sharon Carson's worthless ass.

IMO there might be enough new blood in the Senate.

Depending on when it hits governors desk, he could be in favor of it or veto it.

It all depends on what phase of his presidential run he's at and if he's trying to pander to the moderate crowd, the MAGA crowd, the dems, the libertarians etc etc lmao

The last two Dem governors opposed cannabis legalization. Many of those in the Senate who oppose legalization are Dems. The issue consistently gets majority support of both Republicans and Democrats in the House. This really isn't a partisan issue in NH. Also, the whispers I hear is that Sununu will sign it if it gets to his desk (he wants to be prez and is pushing the "liberty governor" angle) but he doesn't want to take the risk of going on record supporting it as long as the Senate protects him from having to. Senate remains the roadblock here, but there's reason to believe this year the mix will be more favorable. We'll see.
