Yup. Its always some lame approach like "Hi Peter/Annie/Steven"
None of those are my name, I've had the same phone number since 2005, I doubt 3 people had it before me when cell phones were barely a thing.
They're basically trying this indirect: "oh sorry, wrong number, but while we have you here..."
NO! Fuck your own face. I don't want it--I never asked for it. Go away

3-6? Those are rookie numbers.
Yes 10-20 a day maybe more. Most I’ve said stop. But it doesn’t. They are also all gop texts. I’m undeclared
Saying STOP is just telling them you are a conscious human and to try harder. Responding at all is the worst thing you can do.
Actually if you reply Stop, you’re opted out immediately. Most won’t even send a reply to tell you they opted out.
The only problem is that hundreds of candidates and Pacs use the program. Stop only opts you out of one list.

"My iPhone isn't letting me mark them as spam. What are people doing to stop them?"
Using a Google Pixel 7, which automatically marks them as spam by itself.
I keep getting them from Herschel Walker. I do not and have never lived in Georgia
Might have a relative you didn't know about ;)
He wants their air back. Said New Hampshire take all their good air, and send them the bad air we got from Massachusetts.
No I've made it a point to block and report as spam every political text I've received over the last several years. It has worked really well
Yes, from both sides and it’s horrible. Who would I call to complain, campaign wise? Isn’t this technically illegal??
type STOP and block the number. I've been getting 20-30 of these a day all addressed to the former owner of my number who apparently was my arch nemesis politically.
Haven't gotten one
I think they target independents or people who have recently switched political parties. I’ve been hard locked one party since I turned 18 and make it very clear I am strongly opinionated whenever they come knocking on the door. Not a single text 🥰
As an independent, I'm getting texts from both parties, and some from both congressional districts. Add in the texts asking for my opinion / polling and the fewest texts I've received has been 3 in a single day. The high in a day has been around 10. I reply stop and only around 1/2 confirm you've been removed - but more come from a different #. I can't wait for Wednesday.
Yes. The do not call list should apply to political calls as well.
This past week they turned the firehose up to full blast. 5-10 calls/day,10+ texts a day, 25+ emails a day. It's relentless, and so annoying. Like, do you think spamming me is going to get me to like you? Sheesh.
It’s brutal! I just want it to stop! I unsubscribe from them every time but yet I keep getting more and more.
Every. Day. There was a significant uptick the other morning, though. Think I got 3-4 of them just during my morning constitutional.
Been getting a sket-ton. Block the numbers, but I'm saving the messages in case I find a devilish way to use them later as revenge.
Related, anyone have any ideas on that last bit, lmk. 😂
I get about 3 political texts a day, I have an android, So I just hit block and delete.
Luckily my number isn't local.
The only ones I'm getting are from candidates/campaign workers of candidates for whom I am voting on Tuesday, and even those are few and far between.
My husband keeps getting ones that say, “Hey Alexis, blah blah blah”. I think he got 3 today.
No political texts but I've got over a dozen pieces of mail from both parties (mostly left-leaning) in the last two or three weeks. I just immediately toss it in the trash considering I already voted and half are reminding me about that solely.
I’ve been getting so many asks for funds/donations. I don’t care what party running for, there is no way me giving any amount of money less than a week before the election is going to swing the vote either way. By this point people have either made up their minds or they’re apathetic. A friend/relative might get the apathetic voter to the polls, but my $8 ain’t gonna do shit.
I love my Pixel phone, all that crap gets screened and filtered. Calls and texts. I didn't even know until I looked at my spam
None. I have a massachusetts cell number but even our home cell phone which is nh doesn't get any.
When I first registered to vote when I was 18, I registered in CT as that's where I was going to college. I am now 37 and have been registered in NH since I graduated in 2007. Even with all the NH political texts bombarding me, I'm STILL getting CT political texts peppered in there on my 603 number. It's driving me BONKERS.
You answer the phone? I never answer a number I don't know. I tell people to never answer the phone, especially seniors.
For texts, I get asked if I'm going to vote for so-and-so, and I just don't answer.
I remember the old phones, and there was nothing we could do about answering, blocking, or just letting it go to voice mail. I am grateful for the ability to ignore the fucking phone. I assign specific ringtones to numbers from family, friends, the dentist, etc. Then I know if I should pick up.
So. Many. I've only lived in NH for a year, registered independent, and voted once, and the texts from both sides are relentless. As a bonus I'm getting texts from both sides the state I previously lived in and was also with no party, plus I get random texts from Florida and Georgia.
You can set up filters to have them sent to a separate text inbox which you can ignore or delete later. You can say stop but it might not help. I’ve been filtering them and deleting them myself.
I have a VA number so haven’t been getting that many texts. Maybe 3 in the past two days.

Yup. But since I filter all my texts, I never read the ones from unknown phone numbers anyway. Love that feature!
Are you registered independent?
Texting returns about 10-20% reply rate. Even if you say no, you’ve read the text.
Phone banking returns about 5-10% answer rate. No contact if you don’t answer.
And it’s one or two mouse clicks to send the initial text. One person can do 500-1000 in no time.
I get zero. No internet ads either. Sometimes I hear one on the radio.
I just delete them if needed. I have been someone who has volunteered in texting campaigns since I am hard of hearing and prefer texting over a phone call.
All you have to do is text STOP back to them and they'll remove your number. I only get one every couple of days or so from different numbers.
Saying STOP is just telling them you are a conscious human and to try harder. Responding at all is the worst thing you can do.
No, they can't text you again if you ask them to stop. It falls under can spam once you make the request.
Yeah, I'm not about to trust spammers to follow rules.
I constantly told than to stop but they just kept getting worse, 10+ a day, until I paid for a spam blocker. They’re relentless.
I have a Tennessee number, live in NH. I get left wing morons from Kensucky an 2 from Robert O'rource the other day. I refuse to xall by that other name. He is irish catholic.

I've been getting so many that I accidentally let my car warranty expire.
