Concord, snow coming down pretty fast. Didn't start until after 3am, and was mixed with rain for most of the first hour - might still be, going on what I'm hearing outside. Pasty slush on the roads, heavy wet stuff on trees. Plows are running. Probably have a few inches across the end of my driveway by now. That $60 hand plow has more than paid for itself already.

It honestly looks to me like the Maine flag (original) fell into the New Hampshire flag, sucked up the background color, and fucked off back up north. Or Down East, as the case may be.

I dunno. Many of the current state flags look just fine, but for sure some of these interpretations are weird at best (looking at you, New Jersey). And the Tennessee one strongly reminds me of the logo of the New England Revolution soccer team.

Reply to Hippo paper? by bassboat1

I haven't seen a physical Hippo paper for months. They're still putting out the electronic stuff though, I get a weekly email every Thursday.

It's looking less and less likely as time goes on. Kind of pisses me off, honestly. Kids have very little to do unless they play some kind of sportsball, and I include hockey and lacrosse in that. There's small community centers in town like the one by the police station, plus the new one by Walgreens (and the Y, of course, but geeze they're pricey). But since the plague, it's difficult to find staff and volunteers. :/ Something's gotta give.

If you've read some of the other comments on this post, they're looking to lose money against their tax liability. Jerks. I thought Homart Development were bad, but these current owners got 'em beat by a mile. The place adds zero value to the community, unless you consider hosting Spirit Halloween once a year to be adding value.
