I’m not on gas, but my electric bill is between $350 - $450 per month. 2020 sq ft, on a Mitsubishi heat pump, water heater is electric, and we have two Teslas. The only gas appliance we have, for now, is our propane dryer. Figured I’d throw that in because people might be curious about the difference.

Have you looked at solar? I heard the incentives have gone up this year.

I have, unfortunately nobody wants to touch my roof. It’s metal tile, so drilling into it is a no-go.

Why not try a heat pump dryer?

They only come in smaller sizes. Once the dryer is done for, I’ll switch to electric.

How big is the Mitsubishi? Whole house one?

Yeah whole house. It’s a MXZ-5C42NAHZ, so it’s a HyperHeat model, with two air handlers, one for the first floor, one for the second. It works very well and only starts working hard when it’s below about 10 degrees.
