That’s my bad. I bought a snowblower in October, so it will never snow again.

Diels_Alder t1_ja32xsw wrote

Thanks snow bro. It's been a nice year off from shoveling. Next year we'll get double snow because the snowblowers will degrade from disuse.

That March ‘93 storm was no joke. Lots of wind, lots of snow. It was well forecast, so we were all prepared. But, yikes, digging out.

I was in middle school and LOVED it. So many snow days and we spent them sledding. Miss the 90s and miss NJ (I live in SoCal now, lol.)

Right there with you, now in SoCal so I relish the few colder or rainy days...I dont miss them I just enjoy them as they come lol

Ironically, some parts of So Cal have gotten more snow the last few days than we’ve gotten all winter in NJ so far!

I’m glad it snowed more in Southern California this winter than New Jersey.

Though I prefer snow over cold or freezing rain.

I work outdoors.

It snowed more in SoCal yesterday then in most of NJ all winter.

La Niña

Global warming.. it barely snowed last winter too

4

VelocityGrrl39 t1_ja2ev4f wrote

Last winter was also La Niña. Yes, climate change is impacting the temps, but this weather pattern is due to La Niña.

1

Dead_Mans_Toe t1_ja6mrtr wrote

Okay. We’ll see next year. Lol. I seem to Remember insanely hot temperatures last summer too.

VelocityGrrl39 t1_ja80gue wrote

La Niña has been in effect for over a year. It affects global weather patterns for the whole year, not just the winter, lol. Just because you don’t understand it doesn’t mean it’s not what’s happening.

Dead_Mans_Toe t1_ja81aey wrote

Its been over a year.. its been like 5 winters of little or no snow.

It almost seems as if one year doesn’t make a pattern. Crazy, right?

I normally would be so excited about this, but my dog was diagnosed with cancer and this might be his last winter, so I was really hoping for one good snowstorm. He loves the snow so much.

I was just referring to the fact that the avg snowfall in SoCal at high elevation (150 inches) is higher than what NJ ever gets in one winter.
