The annual risk of being killed in a plane crash for the average American is about 1 in 11 million.

That’s all well and good but it’s not applicable to General Aviation like the King Air that crashed here. Most people in America will never fly in lighter aircraft. King Airs are pretty decent though. But it’s not the same as flying in Delta.

Icy_Comparison148 t1_j9oh0hf wrote
You sited a safety record for aviation that is built in the backs of Part 121 airline flying. In an article about King Air crashing, flying under probably part 135, which is much different and much less risk adverse than part 121 airline flying. You might as well cited the risk of being bitten by an ant in the arctic.

Depends on what you fly. Flying GA has been shown to be somewhat comparable to riding a motorcycle. But, statistics, numbers only tell a piece of the story.

I used to drive to the airport from downtown Little Rock through this area. The airport is like, right there next to downtown, maybe 5 miles away? It's weirdly close. In between are a lot of scrapyards/metal recycling and industrial stuff. I remember one always had this mountainous pile of metal shavings, 30 feet high, like a mountain of tinsel.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. It seems like someone involved made a tragically bad call.

Yeah, but that person would have been the pilot.
I don’t think anyone is accusing the pilot of killing himself just to spite the residents of east Palestine.
Dense-Competition-51 t1_j9ozwfi wrote
Oh, I’m catching up now. Yeah, I think the pilot just made a fatally bad call. They could’ve just been an hour late instead of permanently late.

I specifically said “living couple”, not just a living individual. The latter I understand. The former seems strange, especially since they’re both accomplished public servants individually.

A lot of women also despised hillary- even if they werent familiar with the “kill list”. She was seen as uppity, judgemental, a b-word. With her flexing her intelligence and confidence- spearheading healthcare reform in 94 and dissing the tammy wynette archetype, she was a clear threat to the traditional values that millions of women cherish.
Trump and clinton nearly split the white woman vote in 2016.

The gusts of wind from the squall line that went through Little Rock at the time of the crash were strong enough to blow over a 50 pound door that I had leaned against a wall. I don’t understand why the pilot did not wait 15 minutes for the storm to pass. I imagine a Delta crew would have.
