Honestly, no. I'm thinking the kid was driving a car he wasn't supposed to, or he was out when the cop knew he shouldn't be.
That's small town justice... and now a kid is dead.

Maybe they should check the victims car to see if it has light damage to the rear corner that might be attributable to a Pit maneuver? My bet is deputy got overzealous and tried to pit the kid and the kid lost control. Could be something else, but the deputy slinking off makes me feel he was somehow at least partly culpable for the crash.
