Gives back? He's the spokesman. This is the advertising.

Fashionable scrubs are also not a major donation given how much crap Healthcare workers have put with the past 3 years

Especially at Temple

Support the striking grad workers also currently putting up with Temple's bullshit.

TL;DR is Temple fucks over nurses during a pandemic

darwinpolice t1_j9mzy26 wrote

Exactly. I mean, I'm not complaining because I'm sure the workers appreciate the new scrubs and all, but let's not give fawning press to someone for donating branded merchandise as a tax write-off for the company he partially owns.

Temple? Shit man give them to Nazareth or some other hospital struggling to keep the lights on!

I agree Nazareth is underfunded, but they almost killed my dad twice while he was having a heart issue by giving him a med my mother told every nurse and doctor they saw he was allergic to. And I have several people I grew up with who had similar horror stories of that specific location killing or almost killing people due to negligence. That entire hospital needs a revamp from the ground up, not new scrubs

Nazareth also gave me IV antibiotics that I explicitly said I was allergic to. I’m under the impression they just let anyone work there. Better off at Jefferson Torresdale I’d you can travel the extra bit.

That or they’re actively trying to lighten their work load by eliminating patients

What /u/TellYouWhatitShwas said and what the article has conveniently omitted: Kevin Hart is a spokesperson for that brand, it's like Michael Jordan donating Nike basketball shoes or that Subway guy doling out free sandwichiches.

So he is not "giving back" shit: this is a PR campaign for his brand to make him and others more money in the long run. Don't dress it up like he's selflessly tearing away anything from himself, is all but a smart business move.

Kevin Hart should change his name to Kevin Mid. Because he’s mid. This donation is mid. Everything about him is mid.

this is mid, he seems like a nice dude and his old stand up is good imo

One time my mom got some pants from Fabletics and I went through hell to cancel the monthly subscription that accompanied it. Awful experience

darwinpolice t1_j9n022x wrote

Monthly subscription? What, do they send you a new pair of yoga pants every month or something?

Faithful2theGrind t1_j9npo78 wrote

Damn imagine getting more hate for donating than if you did nothing. Not saying it’s an amazing donation but geez lol
