The Off Menu Podcast is hosted by British stand up comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster. They have guests choose their favorite starter, main course, side dish, drink and dessert. I wanna hear everyone’s Richmond version of this. Some people do one cohesive meal others do the best individual things. Some go fancy, some go cheap. It’s all up to you. You can also choose between still or sparkling water and papadams or bread if you wish.

If I’m going one fancy, cohesive mean, my menu would be

Bread: Sub Rosa- sea salt rosemary flatbread

Starter: Can Can - French Onion Soup

Main: Buckheads - Rack of Lamb with Cherry Demi-Glaze

Side: Lemaire - collards/ZZQ - Mac and cheese

Drink: Pinky’s - Afternoon in Monaco

Dessert: Scoop - a scoop of roasted strawberry and a scoop of triple chocolate eaten in scuffletown

I didn’t know about this podcast but just saw James Acaster and am instantly hooked. He’s hilarious.

Here’s my vegetarian skewed menu

Starter: Arepa de choclo from Cafe & Sabor

Main: Georgian Flatbread+Crispy Harissa Cauliflower from Blue Atlas (I picked 2 because they’re sharing portion type dishes)

Side: Cobra Cabana/Strange Matter tofu wings

Drink: 451 from Grandstaff & Stein

Dessert: Fried Cheesecake from El Chido

I seriously need to go back and rewatch those. Just the way his outfits' colo(u)rs evolve each time is magical.

Haven't seen Cold Lasagne yet but it's on the list!

It's on Vimeo, I've just been feeling poor lately and haven't bothered to shell out the $15. Plus there are a zillion other things to watch, on services I've already paid for!
