Right, but you know they’re just going to wire this into every soldier’s brain instead.

Every helmet is gonna include Night Vision, radio, transmittable zoomable body cam, Distancing/Ranging, Magnification, GPS reporting, a monocular showing mapping & position, & now electrodes to inhibit fear & pain, magnify aggressiveness & report injuries.
Oh, and extra batteries.

Don't forget filters to dehumanize the enemy

You're meaning, of course, with Antlers... so our soldiers see it as hunting?
Or, maybe, filters would see incoming mortars as flocks of birds?
Hmmmmm..... filters could get interesting....

I'm going to be honest, I would rather this be impossible because I think it will be used for negative reasons more than positive ones.

Living organisms need to be able to distinguish between things they should fear and things they shouldn't in order to survive. They must be able to respond defensively to cues that have previously been linked to a threat, even before the threat itself manifests. The scientific term for this process of determining which signs signal a threat and which do not is "the fear memory recall."

Neat. I'm already looking into NeuroPace to manage my epilepsy, it's cool seeing if this technology could be applied for other mental health reasons as well.

Some people end up with an over-active amygdala due to past trauma. It can cause them to overreact, sometimes aggressively, to situations where that type of response is not necessarily warranted.
If this process can be further studied and applied with little to no consequence, it could potentially do wonders for the overall mental health of many individuals.
