I don’t know if this will help you, but when my fiancé (now husband) and I took our engagement photos, we emailed the head of the photography department and asked if they might know a student wanting to do it for a set price (we underpaid, I’d have spent so much more). All we wanted was all of the photos, no editing. We had an hour or two around downtown, then went back to the department and we got a flash drive of all the pictures, paid him, never saw him again.

I highly recommend Designing Indie! Andie was very kind and patient with me and my family. And our pictures are just so special and unique to us.

If you have a wedding photographer picked out, oftentimes they will offer engagement pics as part of the package.

What's your budget? What style are you looking for? This matters more than anything when looking for a photographer in order for both parties to be happy (and hopefully create a lasting partnership)! Finding a photographer is very similar to finding a hair stylist/barber

Hanna Sher takes amazing romantic pictures — they are pricey but beautiful.
