The vagus nerve controls far more than just that. I really hope they continue to investigate more and the gut biome

I was in a motorcycle accident a decade ago, and the knock on effects from the hit to my head is CVS (cyclic vomiting syndrome)

I either take the inhibitor and can’t sleep, have no appetite, and some nausea, but can function; or I skip the meds, and spend 12-18 hours a day vomiting. Until I end up at the ER

What makes chicken different from other meats for your condition?

Poultry and mammals have different amino acids and fat structures. Prime example of this is a tick borne disease called alpha-gal. People with alpha-gal have violent allergic reactions to fat cells from mammals.

I’m not quite sure to be honest as to why beef and pork upset my stomach so much. We bought the leanest, organic beef we could find, strained every ounce of grease, and I still deal with intense stomach turmoil causing gross BM’s and/or vomiting

I had CVS for years homie... I don't have it at all anymore.

Know what I did?

I tripped on acid 3 times.

I'm not fucking kidding.

Good luck to you!

My life was hell and I wanted to kill myself. I lost everything and became disabled. I'm still disabled, but it's because I got hit by a car and injured my back. It was a hit and run and I never caught them.

Oh well, right? Gotta keep on keepin on.

Thanks cognitive behavioral therapy and LSD!

I’ve used LSD a couple times over the years. I’d definitely be interested in pursuing that further, because that would be an amazing change to have that work

Thanks so much for the pointers

I want to dip my Vagus Nerve into a vat of CBD Oil while taking some THC. I don’t want to feel shit for a month and wake up with zero inflammation and pain.

I did something awful to my neck a few years ago, and ended up on Prednisone for a week. Now I wouldn’t recommend it overall, kind of a nasty drug, but as an upside all of those little aches and pains you just get used to as you age… they go away. Not forever, just for the duration, but it’s like this incredible vacation from pain.

Yeah, and your metabolism gets all fucked up, and you become physically dependant on it.

How does it mess with metabolism? Growing up I'd go on prednisone 3 or 4 times a year for weeks on end for asthma.

It makes you retain salt, make you gain fat and sugar more easily (with a diabetes risk) and you lose a lot of muscles.
