High pitched squeaking noise in shaw

Has anyone else been hearing a continuous high pitched squeaking noise? We have been hearing it from our home for a couple of months and can’t figure out what it is. It gets louder near the Howard university/ shaw metro stop.

Could be anti-loitering sounds, generators, electric substations, etc.

Lots of people over the years noted odd sounds in the city.

my friend and i can also hear it! we have no idea what it is but we’ve heard it consistently for the last two weeks. it’s definitely the loudest near the metro stop
