The violence interrupters and Safe Passage team are a pathetic use of public funding.

FTFY. Safe Passage team are getting a lot of criticism as well for not doing anything, including not showing up for their post.

The VI program is effectively a cushy no-show jobs program for convicted violent felons. It's an insane use of taxpayer funds, especially as we're short hundreds of cops.
