Peoples Gas... Actual amount is $211.74 (budget is $100.30). We had a newborn so for much of the month the thermostat has been pushed to 70° almost non-stop. Before this we had the thermostat set to 65 at night, and mostly off during the day.

Our electric usage was up nearly 90% from last month because we were supplementing with space heaters in the bedrooms at night during the cold snap.

If it's found out that a driver is carrying on the job, they will let them go. Let's say the driver is just sloppy at concealing it and a gunphobic passenger happens to catch a glimpse of it and reports the driver or worse is triggered by it and says they were threatened by the driver when they weren't. The company will let the driver go because drivers having guns is against their ToS. It's not unfathomable, and while it should be a clear cut court case ruling in favor of the driver's 2A rights their policies unfortunately has been allowed to fly.

It's wrong that all these companies won't allow drivers in their own vehicles to carry firearms for defense. I'm not saying it would have helped Christina, maybe it would have maybe not. But driver safety and security needs to be prioritized and the way to do that is to let drivers choose what that looks like for them.

Not too bad, or at least could always be worse so I shouldn't complain, but if I had to... you know, not enough sleep and never enough time. It's hard, the daily grind. Day in and day out just to try to keep up the feeling of self and social worth. I almost wonder if life really used to be better before, when quarters had pictures of bumblebees on them. Then I remember the amazing blessings of the advancements in technology, how I likely wouldn't be alive had they never existed or have came to be. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it wasn't that bad, all things considered. But I'll still complain.

...You?

Yes they do. I believe all grocery stores do, or at least I've never heard of one not accepting it. (Some don't accept WIC). Murray Ave Kosher in Squirrel Hill can even charge ready made food from their deli onto EBT/SNAP, and it's worth a try if you like Jewish deli foods, salads, chicken etc

Edit for those saying it's fraud. I don't know the law, but how is it different than buying baked goods at GE bakery eg bagels, pies, cookies etc or from other departments that prepackage prepared foods? Those items are also ready made/to eat.

Anyhow, for those who are truly most disadvantaged (homeless/transient), how are they supposed to realistically keep and prepare ingredients? I understand the drain on the welfare budget allowing all restaurant foods would cause, but let's be realistic about some situations people face. A hot and wholesome meal may only be available through a sitdown restaurant for some, and there's no reason why for them EBT shouldn't be allowed in such establishments.

Not a small shop, but Orr's Jewelers on Forbes in Squirrel Hill did a custom job for me. I wanted to get my wife a gold pendant with a custom monogram engraving and birthstone placement. I called around to several and they were the only ones able to do a custom monograms. I gave them a drawing of what I wanted engraved and they gave me a quote and image sample of what it would look like.
