This. I did rebar only through the first timbers on the ground. Then, i staggered the second layer so the rebar was covered and used lag bolts to fasten the two layers. Kids used the area for 10 years and never had an issue.

Bonus: If you want to reconfigure the area you just lift the timbers up off the rebar, reposition, and drive the rebar into the new area and slip the bottom timber with the hole over it.

Great lesson here for our misfortunate American brethren who have fallen into the Qult/MAGA.

The only common thread among these guys is that they all convinced enough of their people that they were being attacked/oppressed/threatened. And then most of them were ultimately destroyed by the "West".

Conservative authoritarian regimes wield power by convincing the people that they are the victim/being attacked from outside, and only the authoritarian regime can preserve their way of life. Basically the Trump/MAGA playbook, in my opinion.
