Did you accidentally turn into a man? (Since that sounds like the experience of most men on the apps, if that).

But seriously - it's probably some impact from more effort to monetize users by reducing non-paid features. But I haven't heard of any app coming to take Hinge's place quite yet.

Also:

  • If you're looking for conservatives/moderates/libertarians, maybe more of them have left the area since Trump left
  • Is your profile actually that good? (unclear face shots (sunglasses, mask), no full body shot, prompts that limit who might be interested in you/make you look bad... maybe have a guy friend review or submit on a dating subreddit)
  • It's possible you've just hit a weird dating age range for women in the area (feel like I've seen late 20s women complain about dc in the past), or you're looking for a weird age range for whoever you're interested in

I've had a weird trend in my dating where the more socially conscious-focused a lawyer's job is, the worse they've treated me/been on dates - while the more reprehensible their law focus is the nicer and easier to date they've been.

Need to find one that represents fossil fuel industry/Nestle with a side hustle of defending African war lords or something.

I’m from somewhere with lots of ice/snow - I refuse to drive in snow here because people are so awful and it’s been a while since I’ve had to drive in it much myself

The city does a crappy job handling it, but I’ve seen far worse, so I guess I’ll give them a C grade, maybe a B- since it’s not that common

You can get walkable neighborhoods outside DC... there's just not much to walk to. I moved away briefly before returning to the area - but lived in Arlington when I first got back. I couldn't wait to move back into the city. There are definitely some things that are worse, but tons of things that are better.

This sub also has tons of people that don't even live in DC or adjacent areas of MD/VA (seems like lots of city subs have gone this way)
