Yep, farm fresh eggs might be the best bang for the buck of any food you can buy right now. $5/dozen so at 2-3 eggs per serving it’s basically $1 per meal.

Totally. As soon as I heard that voicemail he left where he was way too casual and said something like “just wondering if you saw her Sunday… or, err, any day since Sunday” I knew he was 100% behind it

Yea I understand the general advice is not to ever talk to police. I think there’s an exception when your spouse’s life literally could depend on it…

Lol wut? Why would someone not talk to the police if their spouse went missing and they had nothing to do with it?

My experience so far is that VT is in between MA and ME in price and about equal to MA in quality (which is to say, not as good as Maine)

Well let’s see:
>contractors and angry locals barreling down the road…
Literally never seen this once and have spent a ton of time in Woodstock.
>This town should be thriving
Multiple new small businesses have opened in the last few years, and it’s been listed in a number of publications as a top New England tourist destination. It has constant free music, art, farmer’s markets, theater, festivals, etc.
>Woodstock Inn…
Yes they own/subsidize many things in town - including xc ski/snowshoe trails that anyone can use and a ski area with very reasonable lift ticket prices… this is a bad thing?
>A few million dollars for a dilapidated Victorian
One look on Zillow and you’re obviously not even close. A few million dollars will get you some of the nicest houses in Woodstock
So, yea, like I said - pretty much entirely incorrect ✌🏼

Reply to Tips for getting into snow-shoeing? by Dr_JackMeoff
I echo all the points from cheetofoot and would add that it’s worth getting some collapsible trekking poles. You won’t need them all the time but they’re really helpful going up and down steeper terrain. I also always bring a Camelbak cause you’ll sweat a lot and want to stay hydrated.
If you’re into hiking, you’ll love snowshoeing. It’s a great way to get into nature in the winter and it’s so peaceful in the woods when everything is covered with snow and you’re the only one around. Plus, unlike skiing, it’s free!
REI has a great snowshoeing wiki on their website that’s worth a look. Enjoy it!

Reply to Advice for first time drywall patch by astropiano1998
One piece of advice, especially if you haven’t done a patch before - you’re better off doing 3-4 thin coats of mud (making sure you allow enough time for it to dry in between) than trying to get it perfect with just 1 coat. Each coat can go a little wider than the previous so that you taper any bump that might appear.

“Why does it matter to anyone else?”
Because millions of Christians actively spread anti-LGBT beliefs. Not saying that you do, but at the very least you should understand that association.

Absolutely agree that people should do a few minutes of research on policies.
My point is that the sentiment (i.e. “fuck all republicans”) is: a) a direct result of the behavior of a staggering percentage of bad actors who are in positions of power in the GOP, so not really “bullshit” so much as “consequences of their own actions” and b) doesn’t split the country nearly as much as the behavior of those bad actors

I understand your point but don’t think that’s a bullshit sentiment considering the reality is there is only one party who has consistently sided with religious extremists, conspiracy theories, and an attempted insurrection. It’s fairly rational to disregard anyone associated with that party.

Inventory is very low - people like the area for the same reason you do and generally don’t move. I read that Norwich has 1,500 houses total, and I imagine surrounding towns are similar. So there just straight up aren’t many houses, and significantly less actually go on the market. Keep looking and be prepared that you likely won’t find something that checks all of your boxes. Good luck
