No, no I haven't. When I was in college, drinking the tap water made me feel sick. Filtering it through a Brita helped, but it still had a funky taste. When I visit family in Manayunk or get water at any restaurant, it has that same funky taste, and that's through a filter as well.

I mean, no one in their right mind drinks straight Philly tap water anyway.

I would assume that's by design. We don't have professional juries in the US, and that would create de facto professional jurors. Especially as I'm sure some people would start charging for it.

I mean, she's not wrong... But I suspect she and I would heavily disagree on the who and the why. Especially since she seems like a prime candidate for losing that respect.

You need to talk to your employer then. They may be assessing local tax for the wrong municipality. Some require it assessed if you live there, some if you work there.

School taxes are part of property tax. OP is referring to local income tax.

Reply to Winter driving in PA all seasons vs Snow tires. What do you have and why? by RemoteStatement
Lebanon county here, I just use all-season (Continental Extreme ExtremeContact DWS) tires, though I do have an AWD car. I previously had to commute down 897 through farm country and only once did I ever end up off the road, but that was ice anyway (and after I got off 897). If your commute keeps you on roads that get plowed in a timely fashion, all-season will likely be fine.
That said, if I had the money for a second set of tires and rims and a garage, I'd get a set of snow tires. If you can afford the best option, definitely go for it. Plus, it lengthens the life of your non-winter tires a bit since they'll be off the car for at least a month or two.

With modern lighting systems, I don't quite understand why lights aren't just permanently on. Then a switch to override, which resets when the car is turned off.

Reply to comment by Yen-sama in How do I swap registration/tags from an old car onto a new car in PA? by Anonymous_Otters
I wish they'd just reissue a new plate. My mother just transferred hers to a new car, it's a 25-ish year old plate, from when they just swapped away from gold on blue. We asked about getting a new plate, and the tag place said we couldn't without de-registering it, and then getting a new one (which isn't guaranteed) as it's a vanity plate.

She's the one that gave Oz a platform before he started playing at being a politician. If she hadn't endorsed him on TV, he'd have just stayed a surgeon and we'd never have heard of him.
She also gave Dr. Phil his start. Between Phil, Oz, and Oprah herself, they've likely indirectly contributed to the anti-science attitude that's so prevalent these days.

My grandparents, both registered Democrats in Lebanon County, got their ballots weeks ago. While I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's shenanigans down on 8th Street, it isn't everyone at least.
I'm still going in person to vote though, because I don't trust the crazies around here not to go smash up a drop box or something.

The BAC limit is there to define a legal standard. Just going off of field observation is dangerous since it adds a large space for interpretation.
