There's a lot of money you can get that doesn't even have to be spent on actual military or classified stuff, too. The US military funds a ton of basic, public research. Personally I think if you're able to get the military to give you money for that sort of stuff, more power to you.

I've tutored freshmen and juniors and had joint grad/undergrad classes, if you're there to learn and not being a party animal nobody's going to care. Hell I've had old people in classes before, nobody cared.

I agree in principle, but not all non-community colleges have the resources to accept all applicants either. I know some that actually had to defer some incoming students because of not physically having enough space to house them.

You don't have to go to college right away after high school either, and it's not like you can't reapply/apply to others once you've improved your skills from high school. And then there are vocational schools, trade schools, etc.

It's not a definite thing, but it matches his previous pattern of activity, especially when you factor in how he offered so much more than the actual estimated value of Twitter. He even tried to back out by claiming there were more bots than he was told but wasn't successful because the contract he signed didn't allow that as an option, I believe.

Most rich people are at least cognizant enough to not act like dumbasses in public. Or if they do to not do it in a way that's easily documented, or to have PR people to smooth things over, or to do all sorts of other things that Musk is not doing.

That's all irrelevant anyway. As far as I am aware, no Western country took anywhere near the extreme actions China did, nor did any that weren't isolated islands actually try to achieve "zero COVID" to any significant degree. Even back in 2020 the rhetoric was "flatten the curve", not "eliminate the curve". Pretending that the protests over Chinese restrictions are anything similar to the people protesting at times when most Western restrictions had been lifted anyway is misleading at best.
