Vertical tube jig is my not so secret weapon. Few videos on my channel show what they look like if you haven't rigged one before.

I want to eat one this season but I'm a bitch about killing fish, I like letting them go. I feel like I failed as a fisherman if one dies while I'm unhooking. Makes me respect the fish I do harvest.

I moved to Vermont a few years ago to escape the NYC / NJ commute and ski more.

What I did not expect to fall in love with is Lake Trout fishing. They fight hard, they are exceptionally exciting and fun to catch (when you can find em) and you can target them all year round as long as you have the right gear.

This past year I caught em from kayaks and also had an AMAZING day on the ice. I can try to tell stories but my YouTube videos do a much better job! Search for VT2U if you wanna see me pull a huge fish out of the ice by its tail, don't believe me just watch 😎

I think you should eat some beans on the bus and find out. This feels like low hanging fruit (ha ha) for try it in the real world and see if it's true or not.

I think they are fine as long as eating on the train / bus isn't against the rules. As someone who used to commute via train I can you hungry people a few seats away will secretly hate you out of hangry jealousy. FYI! 🙂

Some nice snow dawgs ya got there.

Do you ever put booties on them? I've done this watching a friend's dog a few times and I always lose the damn things. Hard to believe their feet are fine with the cold but 🤷 dogs are badass and tough it always amazes me seeing ppl take them skiing and other extreme activities

My wife and I spent a lot of time in the winter coming up here on vacations, my job was suddenly ending and I was really burned on the commute in/out of NYC the last few years I was there.

It's great if you can find work. We stressed about never owning property in NJ and we have a nice little slice of nature not too far from Burlington and really close to a few legendary ski destinations. Lake Champlain is pretty incredible, I got into ice fishing and there's nothing like it where I grew up in NJ. Here's a video I just finished if your curious about the fishing

I really like the no billboards thing. Stowe and Toyota tried to pull some shit and the town shut them down. Stowe is one of the fanciest places in all of VT, shows how little tolerance VT has for that stuff.

I think the population density is more humane than NJ or NYC. It's not a solution to all life's problems but if you can make a life here it's been worth it so far. We'll see how I feel about the cold in 10 years
